Hours: Full time- Monday-Friday 8:30AM-4:30PM
Salary: $70,000-$75,000

Position Summary:
The Day Habilitation Program Director manages the daily operations of the Day Hab site including staff supervision, Person Centered planning, and ensures quality services to all individuals and assists in maximizing the functioning of developmentally disabled adults and supervises proper maintenance of the physical plant.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of three years of experience delivering services to individuals with I/DD and a minimum of two years providing staff supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Day Habilitation, Day Habilitation w/out Walls, Community Pre-Voc, and Lifelong Enrichment (LLEP) Programs
- Select, orient and train program staff.
- Supervise and appraise program staff
- Assure program utilization to meet contractual goals.
- Oversee the delivery of individualized services and ensure Staff Action Plans are Person-Centered and based on each individual valued outcomes (goals).
- Ensure all individual being provided support have active Medicaid coverage
- Oversee Medicaid compliance to include face-to-face service documentation
- Ensure ongoing contact with Care Managers, Residential Provider, Family and /or significant other
- Review billing information to ensure it accurately reflects services provided
- Attend monthly billing review meetings
- Ensure required program documentation is obtained and updated
- Oversee recruitment of program participants
- Oversee set up and scheduling of program activities
- Prepare internal monthly reports
- Review Program incidents and Report to OPWDD-IRMA/Justice Center
- Attend quarterly incident review committee
- Serve as an internal investigator for OPWDD incidents
- Develop strategy concepts for program development and expansion
- Assist in the design and development of new Waiver programs
- Maintain compliance with New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, OPWDD and Medicaid regulations
- Represent BCS at OPWDD Committee meetings
- Attend monthly Brooklyn Developmental Disability Council Committee meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in the Human Services field, MSW, or related field, LMSW/ LCSW preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in an OPWDD related field of which 2 years are in a supervisory capacity within a Day Hab setting.
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with coworkers, employees, consumers, families and outside contacts
- Must be able to maintain the strictest confidentiality
- Proficiency in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite and other related database and E-Mail system
- Must be able to pass OPWDD Fingerprinting and Criminal Background Check.
